June 2008 Warning Systems UK has successfully installed the first phase safety system at Corus Group's Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire site.

We are pleased to announce that we have been contractacted to extend the system by designing and supplying a site-wide warning system.

CORUS is Europe's second largest steel producer.

May 2008 Warning Systems (UK) Limited is about to commence installation of the equipment for the Community Warning System at the 1,700 acre site at Grangemouth.

The Grangemouth site is the only refinery north of the border and it supplies Scotland and the North of England with its fuel.

The massive site occupies the equivalent of 640 football pitches and will be protected by a resilient network of warning sirens.

This underlines our concerns about over-reliance on communication across wires for an emergency warning system. Our systems can be configured to use radio control and when supplied with back-up battery buffering, our sirens can run for up to a month without a mains supply.
